Support Question Regarding Conversion of Passwords

After reading the Sticky on Impex converter options, I'm very concerned about utilizing the Manual for phpBB3.

It states here:

Not passwords
(username, email, joindate, ipaddress last activity, lastvisit)

So, I have 2 questions:

1) If Passwords are not converted, then how do Members login after the conversion is complete? If their password is not transferred, what option do they have to access the forum?

2) Does "(username, email, joindate, ipaddress last activity, lastvisit)" in small subtext, just below where it states Not passwords mean those variables in parenthesis are also not transferable? It would seem logical to assume it means they would be transferred, but since Passwords are not, I don't want to assume.

They can recover it:

You have entered an invalid username or password.
Please press the back button, enter the correct details and try again.
Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password? Click here!

If you have forgotten your username or password, you can request to have your username emailed to you and to reset your password. When you fill in your registered email address, you will be sent instructions on how to reset your password.

My site is not giving them an option to recover it. I can't seem to find out why - I would assume this is a setting I cannot (or at least shouldn't be able to) turn off.

Any idea why I don't have the option to have my password emailed to me?

This is a fresh install of version 4.0 converted from phpBB3.

Nevermind, I figured it out. The text beishe8 referred to is so poorly formatted it couldn't be read clearly on a large screen. Fixed and thanks.

there was a mod on vbulletin.org ... it was for IPB but it let users log on using the IPB hash and it then converted the pass to the vb equivelent.
