    Do I need a website to have V-bulletin hosted?

    I saw a website (outlawmuscle) that uses v-bulletin and all it seems to have is a header saying
    "Outlaw Muscle" and the forum below.

    So my question is, if my main objective is to have a discussion site,
    can I simply have v-bulletin 4.0 hosted? Or do I first need a website?

    Thanks

    I do not know the answer, BUT,...

    My partner who is a web designer, should be able to tell you.

    If you need SEO to get some traffic please let me know as that is what I do!

      You need some kind of hosting account, but the forum can itself be the website and the only thing hosted there if you wish.

        I answered your question already in my other thread but have you first considered besides free forums a free hosted online forum instead? All you have to do is link it to your domain and you are off and it saves you the work of installing and sorting bugs etc! I have known a lot of people with sites use them simply for convenience including me.

          Hi, I am Steves partner and webmaster;

          My suggestion is to do a blog this way you don't need to pay for hosting .

            You do have to have a host but as for a website that's optional
