vBCMS/Forum widgets?

Can vBCMS place widgets and custon content in a left or right column on forumhome like vBadvanced?

If it does, it would be perfect for what I have planned for my site.

Not straight away, but they are wanting to accomplish this in the very near future

They said that they will put it in a next version (4.x), but it will still be possible also in 4.0, but will require php file editing.

Thanks for the reply's everybody. If they are looking into it, at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I hope.

It would be a great addition IMHO. Regular members go straight to the forums, I've had great success using a left column to get info in front of them with vBadvanced. I know some board owners like a column while others don't, but it would be great to have the option to choose.

One of the reasons it isn't included now is that the forums have not been refactored into the new MVC architecture. The CMS was built on the new framework.
