If you are upgrading, your branding free option goes with that upgrade. If you are purchasing a new license and want it brand free, you would need a new branding free option, same as before.

You qualify for the reduced fee to upgrade to either the Vb4 suite or VB4 Forums only.
You're worse off than me, i renewed in September.

Allegedly the VB4 Suite Or Forums will be available in Q4 of 2009, so, you get to pay twice for not being able to download the software before the cheaper price expires

Now this is extremely disappointing and puts every license holder who has a branding free license against the wall. It's challenging enough that our licenses went from a value of a few hundred dollars to a zero market value in one day - but I guess this was the obvious market strategy. For some of my forums, the amount of time it may take to "upgrade" makes it prohibitive and using 3.x forums without vulnerabilities serves the purpose as a forum very well. But for these boards it's either pay $190 now or $175 later or lose everything, including the branding free license, the moment a new vulnerability is discovered and the 3.x forum will sit prone to attack.

I've been a customer since the dawn of time for vBulletin. Thanks for the clarification as I was under the impression buying a second license could have been a viable option. I'll consider myself served and will have to figure it out during this short period. Ironic that the presale ends Halloween night.
