We did elect to convert our users to the horizontal post bit in light of the planned changes. There was a little rage for about a day or two and then users didn't care.
A few of the raging maniacs, they left... then came back... almost like the cycle you go through in the acceptance of death. Creepy. To be updated...Comment

Forum-owners have an absolute right to compromise on quality or give in to pressure: it's their forum, and god knows there are enough ugly forums in the world. All that is demanded is that there should be the option for the normal forum view to continue, if they wish us to progress to 4.
Even better, if they reverted in 5 to vertical as standard and left the hideous horizontal as an option.Comment

You guys read my mind. My users along with I all perfer the postbit_legacy. The horizontal is really unfunctional. Vertical layout please!Comment

Also I would like to add, I very rarely come accross a VB forum with the horizontal layout. I think most people hate it.Comment

This functionality hasn't changed from current versions. There is both a horizontal and a vertical postbit included. At first we were only going to offer the vertical postbit but Alpha testers wanted both options to remain.Translations provided by Google.

Thank you for your reply Wayne. You made my day .Comment

Thanks for that. I was already looking at other software if the vertical wasn't going to be available.
PS: I notice that on .org, CP options allows one to view .org with either; maybe it could be included here ?Comment
