You need to respond to that email with your customer ID and license number. Make sure the URL on your account matches where you have vBulletin installed.

Doesn't matter, vBulletin.org and .com are both owned by jelsoft enterprises.

Actually they should come from a piratereports.com, or vBulletin.com address. vBulletin.org does not have anything to do with enforcing licensing like that. You need to open a ticket and delete the email. Forget my previous advice.

If you sent it directly to that email address then your information will be secure. As long as you didn't click any links in the email to enter your information at a website.

Didn't anybody catch the last part of the e-mail?

                      1) Improper spelling and grammar.

                      2) You can't buy licenses at www.vbulletin.org.

If someone is spoofing e-mails you'd expect that the reply-to would be set to e-mail the spoofers.

If you can, you should probably give him a new id/password.

There are programs out there that replaces the "from:" address to anything you want...you can even replace it with [email protected]

For a faster response you should open a support ticket (perhaps addressed to Wayne) and include a link to this thread.
