    vBulletin Multiple Forums

    Does vBulletin have multiple forums?
    Not like forumotion?
    Not like sub forum.

Like, the navigation bar, it can connect you to a different forum section.
    One for gaming forum
    Another for Art forum.
    Then another for computer forum

    All connected to one website?
Not like, make 1000 forums on a single web?

Also, when you buy vBulletin, you start making your website from beginning?
And does it come with a domain of your choice?
Since you are paying like $180?

No $180 is the price for an owned vBulletin licence you still need a domainname and a hosting account (seperated costs)

about your "navigation" plan that is forbidden. You are only permitted to use one vBulletin instance per licence purchased

          One more thing...
am still not sure of the ''own domain name'' and specially ''web host'' ???
          what does that really mean?

So if am using forumotion, then I have to use their server to host? or what?
          Can you givemme some examples?

            1) you must choose a name (www.mywebsite.com for example) to represent your website (referd to as a domainname) this can be done by domainname registars for example www.enom.com or www.namecheap.com to name two

            2) vBulletin is a script which you can purchase and install at your own webspace.Nothing more.Jelsoft (the componey behind vBulletin) does not offer hosting. This is commonly referd to as a "webhosting account" which you need to be able to run vBulletin.Be sure your account meets the vBulletin requirements.A shared host will get you started you should have a look at www.webhostingtalk.com

What are the system requirements for vBulletin?

Minimum Requirements: vBulletin is designed to run on every server that has PHP 4.3.3 or greater and MySQL 4.0.16 or greater installed.

It is recommended to use PHP 4.4.2 or 5.1.2, or later and MySQL 5.0.19 or later.

The software has been successfully installed on several different flavours of UNIX, as well as Windows™ 98/NT/2000/XP, and the Mac

Note: We recommend you contact your hosting provider to verify that they have the correct versions of PHP and MySQL installed. If you administrate your own server, PHP and MySQL are available for free download from php.net and mysql.com.

Its probably not a good idea to post the link here as it will get the (<<Link removed>>) answer..

www.vbulletin.com/piracy.php (if im correct) report it there.

                    Yes, this is correct.

As a user has already mentioned, you will not be notified as to what the results of the Piracy Investigation are.
                    Regards,

I'll report it there then. Maybe I am wrong though and they have 4 licenses for vBulletin or it is possible to do with 1 license. But the initial forum has a nav bar at the top. There are 4 links and when you click one of the other links, it basically loads a new forum.

You can do what he's asking without violationg the license. There's numerous mods on vbulletin.org that allows you to have the forums on seperate pages. Vbulletin.org is even setup like that.

I'm under the impression that you can have as many forums as you want as long as you have purchased a license for each one. Am I incorrect?

They weren't separate pages. I sent the url to the piracy page anyway just in case. I could be totally wrong, it just sounded like what the guy was talking about.

                              One forum for every license.
So no, you are not incorrect.

                              One license = 1 forum
                              two licenses = 2 forums
                              ... and so on.
