Install question when upgrading from phpBB?

I'm the lead admin on a forum who currently runs phpBB. I've been very strongly suggesting upgrading to VB.

Before purchasing a license, I wanted to see how the "import" feature works when going from phpBB to VB.

Our hosting plan only allows for 1 MySQL database. Am I able to setup VB to install on that existing database, and then import the users, posts, PM's, etc?

Yes you can use one database. Just choose a unique table prefix when you install vB and you will be able to share this db.
