Blocking everyone except registered users

Is it possible to block all guests from seeing any forum or even just the lists of forums so they cannot actually see how many forums we have, how many posts have ever been made etc

So basically, if you are not registered, you will only see a header or something similar, is this possible?

Yes. Set the permissions for guest is all you have to do!

Yes you can, but I certainly wouldn't recommend this. This is very bad for SEO (search engine optimization) as bots, such as googlebot won't be able to see inside your forums, therefore making it impossible to index new threads in the search engine.

He asked if it was possible, which to be honest is a perfectly valid pre-sales question. Now if he asked HOW to do it, that would be another matter.

You can make your forum private where you have to be logged in to see anything otherwise you just see the header and the login box.
