Thanks, I thought Litespeed actually replaced apache all together . I better have another read of the documentation.

Litespeed is not the same as Apache's httpd, although it is interchangeable for most applications. One thing worth noting though is that the free version is not really any faster than httpd (and has hard limits on connections) so if you're going to use it, be prepared to pay a lot for the privilege.
