Can I install VBulletin with a Mac?

Notice in FAQs that VBulletin installation is only shown with Windows.
    Appears to have .exe stuff.
Can installation be done with a Mac?

    TIA

For installation on a Mac, you simply need a FTP client like Panic's Transmit: http://www.panic.com/transmit/ ... you can use other softwares like this one, but this one is very efficient, so i do not suggest anyother. it link to your usual text-editor to make file edits.

then, you need a text-editor... the TextEdit included in your OS-X is working correctly...

that's all... no need to install extensive softwares.
oh no, i'm not going with Xenforo... come on, i'm better than that... i stick with Wordpress... rofl

I see signs of confusion here.

Just to make sure, you do have access to a web server that has PHP and MySQL installed right? And you know how to connect to it via FTP right?

Not to mention, that you need to know how to use the MySQL section of the process. Took me a while to understand the basics of it through askin' a friend.

There are programs, such as XXAMP, and probably others, which are designed to set up for you a completely functional Apache, PHP, and MySQL server on a Mac running OS X. You can find the version designed for Macs on the XXAMP website look for the link for Mac OS x. That link is:

There are also other ready made solutions which might work for the Mac, and you could always install them seperately, if you know how.

                Also check out: MAMP
Another solution for Mac Apache MySQL PHP

A lettle searching on the net will find more.

                Regards,

Doh! Fixed it. That's what happens when one is multitasking.
