    vBulletin 4 Preview

vBulletin 3.7.0 is slated to be the final major release of the vBulletin 3.x series before all forum development efforts are switched over to vBulletin 4.x.

Is there any further information about version 4 available? I mean some kind of development roadmap? Will version 4 still Support PHP 4, because the official lifetime of PHP 4 ends this year.

What about a new default template? Or PHP Data Objects (PDO)? Will version 4 be a major code rewrite or mainly an update with a lot of new features?

What about the release date? Is version 4 scheduled for 2008?

No time frames, sorry. I recall Kier did mention that he will try to find a way to better communicate development status with clients after 3.7 becomes stable, so please wait until at least then.
    Best Regards,
