Best auction software for use with vBulletin???

Hi All,

I am investigating setting up an integrated website that will include a discussion forum as well as an online auction. Can anyone tell me if vBulletin would be a good choice for the forum piece of the puzzle? Also, does anyone know what auction software I should be looking at? The key is that I want both pieces integrated so that users have a single sign-on from a homepage that includes maybe a few hot auction items as well as active forum topics.

The only auction system I have seen is vbay.

There is a modification at vBulletin.org named "vbay". It is a free addon donated by a talented PHP coder. Follow the instructions at that site to verify your vB license and you will be able to download the modification + more.

I ran across your thread started nearly 2 years ago. You managed to complete the bridge? Is it available and if so, where? I run seperate phpprobid and vbulletin sites and would love to integrate the two.

This looks like something interesting to me as far as integrated auctions go. Is anyone familiar with this particular software addon? Is it an addon or inhouse mod? I don't think its Easy Auction or vBay...

They used an iTrader and a custom point system.

As for auction, that isn't an action system. That is just people posting required information, but nothing extra interactive.
