    vB Arcade

Probably not a question for here but rather vBulletin.org.

I am actually shopping for a GOOD ARCADE script. I have been told by a few that the arcade add on for vB is excellent.

Where do I get the add- on & how much is it & is it hard to install???

    Thank You

There are two arcade scripts, they are both available at vb.org, and both are free.

ibproarcade rocks ! Yes is free and is pretty easy to install.

http://www.ibparcade.com/ also has a free download for vBulletion 2.3.x and hundreds of games. Warning site runs on Invision and that skin is darn slow loading, but believe there's a vBulletin support site out there as well, haven't located that one yet.

The software is pretty mature and is used on 100s of sites without issues

You may want to get in sooner rather than later as believe the next version is going to have price tag Will be quite happy to pay for it.

Personally I use v3 Arcade and like it better. They both use the same games.

I prefer v3 Arcade. It's very easy to install and very easy to install games. iB Pro Arcade was designed for IPB and is rather messy, so I'd rather not use it.

v3 Arcade is not being developped any more. At least so it seems. It does not allow for contests as well. Unfortunately.

I've always prefered v3arcade and I'm very happy to see this up on v3arcade's site:
We'll be back with a new Arcade release for vBulletin 3.7. In the meantime, head over to vBulletin.org for downloads of past v3 Arcade releases.

As their website indicates, a new version is coming. Whether it just be a port to the new version or an actual software upgrade, who knows!

Ditto here. I've been running vBulletin for years and the arcade has always been the site favorite... though the gaming issue can be touchy as you have to be careful about games that may not be legally installed.

I first used vbarcade and then tried IPB after rebuilding my site from scratch (due to a major upgrade of vbulletin). IPB had some cool features but vbarcade wins out for ease of use.

In the end, I switched back to vb and dumped ipb.

Simtech, yeah there was a huge issue about a year back with people "converting" games without getting the original author's permission. Think they have resolved that, though don't convert them myself.

Cool to know the other arcade uses the same games, nice to have a choice.
