    Hi

Does vbulletin use cookies? If so when and how are they used?

    Thanks

Yes, cookies are used for various purposes. As a user you can use vBulletin without cookies, admins will need them to be enabled though.

Ok, according to Swedish law I must inform my users:
      • That the site uses cookies
      • What these cookies are used for
      • How to avoid them

Where can I find info about what the cookies are used for?

      Thanks

      Peter

They are used for logins (username & password) and tracking primarily.

Certain features such as being able to collapse various boxes use cookies as well. You can also set your forum to use read marking via cookies.

To avoid them, they will need to disable cookies in their browser. vBulletin will automatically use cookies for all of the above if the browser supports cookies.
