closing threads automatically

Is there a setting that will allow a post to automatically close after a certain amount of time have passed?

I use invision and you can specify a future date for the topic to automatically close. Just wondering if vB has a similar feature.

No, but you can check to see if there's a plugin on vBorg for this.

It's able to prevent the users from editing their posts after a certain amount of time though.

Although I'm not sure how to do this with standard features, I've found a Mod on vBulletin.org that closes threads after X days of inactivity.
