Can I use vbulletin without accessing the web?

    Hi there

I am a big fan of vbulletin, and would like to encourage my company to install vbulletin as its social hub for staff. However, we'd like to keep it off the web so it can't be accessed outside of work.

Is it possible to do this with vbulletin?

    Many thanks

vBulletin can be installed on a localhost or intranet server providing it meets the system requirements of Apache, PHP (minimum version 4.3.3) and MySQL (minimum 4.0.16) installed.

Prob be something like http://192.168.1.2 or similar.

Wouldn't vB timeout or hang though in the ACP when it does it's 'checks' at the vB site if used in an Intranet setting? It used to for us (not Intranet though) until we unblocked Port 80.

Use the web and use .htaccess to block it except for employees. Everyone needs a login.
