    Vbulletin on Yahoo Web Hosting?

    Hi,

I'm really looking forward into buying a vbulletin license, but the one thing I'm worried about is whether I will be able install it on Yahoo Web Hosting which I'm currently using.

I've read the thread about the minimum system requirements which said

    Minimum System Requirements
A webserver with PHP 4.3.3 and MySQL 4.0.16 installed
Yahoo has Php 4.3.11 and MySQL 4.1.12, does that mean I would be able to install it with no problems?

Yes, it will work. However make sure you are on their Small Business hosting plan.

Ok that sounds good, I am on their small business hosting plan (the one which is $8.96 for the first two months)

My other question is, due to Yahoo's low PHP and MySQL, will I have any problems installing certain modifications or making backups?

Each modification could have its own requirements so this could pose a problem.

You shouldn't have any problems with standard backups.

Yahoo meets the minimum system requirements.
