another stupid question

after purchasing a licence, do i download vbulletin on to my computer, make the necessary changes and adjustments (ie colors and forum title...etc) then upload to my host? OR do I upload, then work on changes. Silly silly yes I know. Thanks for all your patience. matt.

Upload the files and install vBulletin first. You can change the rest of the details through the AdminCP.

You only modify one file -- config.php.

All other changes are done in the vBulletin Admin control panel. No hacking up files is necessary for 99% of changes.

Ah, right. I forgot about that. Be sure to rename it to config.php without the .new at the end.
