I want to start my own forum using vBulletin?

[B]I wanna start my own forum but i don't know how to start it ? what all we need? what is vBulletine software? No idea .. Plz help me to start af forum by vBulletine..... Plz tell me all the requirments for starting a forum using vBulletine...


And One More thing, when i was typing this msg and as changed it to bold (B) , i was amazed to see that the characters changed on the spot it self beofre posting. In general there is code like " ---text---[\B].

I m a mod of a forum and i want to know that how can i do it in my forum?
My forum is also powered by vBulletine....

You can buy vBulletin at www.vbulletin.com/order

You can choose between two licenses, an owned and a leased license.
The owned license for US$ 160 allows you to run vBulletin for as long as you like. If you want to download new versions after a year you'll have to renew your members area download access though, for a fee of US$ 30 per year.
The leased license for US$ 85 allows you to run vBulletin for 12 months. If you want to keep running vBulletin after that you'll need to renew your leased license for a fee of US$ 85 per year.

No, you will also need a host with PHP and MySQL support, and possibly a domainname.

1. Find hosting from a webhost.
   • make sure they have php 4.4.0 or 5.0.5 and
   • make sure they have MySQL 4.0.x or 4.1.x
   • purchase a web hosting package from said web host
2. Purchase a domain name from a well known domain vendor, like GoDaddy.com or NameCheap.com
3. Purcahse the vBulletin software from http://www.vbulletin.com/order
4. Follow vBulletin install instructions or order an install from the order page.
5. You now have a forum.

Also, do not bump your posts, you need to wait at least 12 hours before bumping a post. Bumping your posts after shuch short of a time will not help you get an anwser any faster.
