A guy at an invision site created a skin that sues the same skin as here but with out the same buttons. I wanted to know if this is ilegal or if i can use it on my invision site?

Actually that was me in a support ticket. As far as I know there is no way to copyright the overall look if a site. Otherwise we would have gone after WBB a long time ago. My answer was that as long as they are not using vB images, I didn't see any problem with it.

Perhaps this is something we can ask Ashley to verify with our lawyers. I'll assign him the ticket. Until you hear an official word from Ashley, I would not recommend using this style.

This isn't about the images. From what I cna tell that style does not use our images. It only mimic our basic look.

Little copycats that can't pay for vBulletin is what they are. Just like the people who made the vB2 copycat skin for IPB.

I'd say this isn't allowed. Because you take an image and cut it in half doesn't mean it isn't the same image.
