Regarding import from UBB classic 6.6.1.
Really didn't find any info regarding this issue.
Using the dictum " nothing ventured nothing gained", I purchased vbulletin, installed version 2.3.4, used the ubb6 import program from the members area and believe it or not it appears that most everything was imported intact.
When I say most everything, there are some style issues and forum categories that didn't come over but other than that, the important stuff did (members, threads, etc.).
So for those who have UBB.classic 6.6.1 and possibly 6.7, it looks like the current import or for vbulletin 2.3.4
Hope this info helps anyone else that has the same issues I did.Comment

I will e-mail Jerry as soon as I have a full accounting of what the importer did or did not do.
As an example, it did import most of the member and information from UBB classic 6.6.1 with the exception of permissions. And other words members who had access to different forms (private and public) were all given the same status i.e. "default".
It will take me a day or so to sort things out.Comment

It's been sometime in development, but I have to commend both Jerry and the rest of you guys for the incredible support I have received over the past several months and during the convertion of my forum. I have worked with A LOT of companies and I have to say hands down the support I get from you guys is beyond compare. Thank you to all!
For all you existing UBB users out there time to make the switch to vB. If for no other reason that searching (which is about 1000 times faster) I would highly reccomend moving over. Although the rest of the features are nothing to laugh at either. The conversion is virtually seamless.
Thanks for a job very well done!

I've got a UBB 5.45b version I need to import and intergrate with my existing VB3 Gold forum. Will this be possible with your script? Will I be able to select which of my VB3 forums I want to import my UBB board into with it's forums?
Thanks, Alex.Comment

I've been waiting to switch to vB for a year now, since there was no converter from my version of UBB.classic (6.5). Can I finally buy it now? Where can I get the importer (and more information on what it converts)? Thanks.Former endorsement revoked. You know the saying - one rotten apple spoils the whole barrel...Comment
