You'd avoid a lot of hassle if you set it up so that in REGISTRATION, there was a field for license info to confirm you have a legal copy. If you put correct info in there you'd be put in a User Group "Licensed" which could post in support boards. Users who didn't put the correct info in the reg. form would be put in "Unlicensed" and therefore couldn't post in "support" forums. That would save a ton of trouble.

Even though it is in the eye-sight on the members area, and in bold. It still is not really obvious what or why it is there, nor that it is a link. especially if you are new. Ofcourse, after wondering about a bit in that members area, you understand it could be a link. Maybe it should have a little title/announcement before the bold text. or maybe underline it to make it more obvious.Comment

A link to the page in my screenshot is in bold in the no_permissions error message on the forums. Eventually if your username isn't in the form you'll get the error, then if you read it you know where to go and what to do.Comment

Don´t know if it fits into your description of big, but...
http://gamigo.de/ is the network. I never asked, but I can´t imagine that they would run illegal vb software.
