Thanks for the suggestion. If I understand what you are getting at, you're after a Google-style search engine for covering vBulletin board's posts? Is that right?

If so, I really don't think that's worth all the development time. In vB3, we're making vBulletin search engine friendly, so all search engines should be able to index vBulletin boards without a problem.

If you're after a search facility for the links area, that would be pretty easy to set up. Currently, they're split down into categories - did you have some suggestions for further categories?
