Getting Support on doing an upgrade

    Hi,

I have registered on the forum and get authorisation to post on behalf of a client (by authorising my email address on his account) - but I am still not able to post questions on the relevant area of the forum.

Please can you check my account and let me know what I need to do in order to use the forum properly.

    Many thanks.

Hi. Your account looks correct to me. Where is it you cannot post?

Hi Mark. I can't post in the section for "vBulletin5 Installs & Upgrades. Maybe I need to delete this account and then reregister AFTER getting authorisation my email address? I did it the other ways round.

Hmmm, I have changed my email address so that I could try to create a new user. Having created the new user (baobab) that still doesn't have the required permissions. Any suggestions?

Your account now shows as unlicensed.

I would put it back how it was, but remember that permission changes in the forum are not immediate. You need to give it at at least an hour to update.

Thanks. I have reset my email address, will wait over 1 hour and try again.

I still an't access the forum for "vBulletin5 Installs & Upgrades". Please can someone look at what's wrong. I've wasted hours on this today trying to sign up for an account and messing around with settings. Thank you.

I dont know what you mean by "Can't Access", but there is nothing wrong with your account, you are in the vB5 Licenced group, which has access to that forum.

I've just gone into that area of the forum and got the following message "Sorry, you are not authorized to view this page.
Please try logging in or logging in as different user Login or send a message to the admin".

Can I just post my question about doing an upgrade here?

There are no restrictions on viewing anything but the Licensed Customer Feedback forum. What is the exact URL where you're trying to post.

You have support access on your license so you can send an email to [email protected], include the license ID of the software for support as well.

It is working properly now. As I reported earlier, if I went the forum for "vBulletin5 Installs & Upgrades" it didn't allow me access to that sub-forum. Anyway, it seems OK now so problem solved.

                      Thanks for the assistance.
