Recently: very long loading times (Win10/FF)

Currently I am browsing this forum on a PC with Win10 and the latest Firefox (39.0.3) and I noticed significantly longer loading times for everything (logins, page loadings, posting...). For example: I always had this 2 seconds loading time when I logged in, but now I have to wait for about 8-9 seconds. It is similar when I open a topic (before: about 1-2 seconds; now: about 5-6 seconds). And going back to the home page: before 1-2 seconds; now: 8-10 seconds.

Has something changed on your side (server) or is this some issue of vB5 and Win10/FF? Do other users experience something similar?

Same issue with the same OS and the same browser, although it's more in the 2 to 3 second range from my location. I just assumed it's something they are testing for the next release.

Most pages still load in 2 seconds or less for me using Chrome under Windows 10. The biggest exception is the Message Center. A new bug increased the loading time to about 30 seconds but that should only affect people with access to the moderation queue. I'll try to test Firefox later.

Agree, loading time on some pages are horrible.

Every 3-4 pages I get a page that takes 3-15 seconds to load

I reset the cache. This can occasionally help as there is no regulation on how large it gets. Let me know if the issue continues.

I do not recognize any difference so far (= still very long loading times).

A simple page refresh currently takes at least 15 seconds, sometimes longer.

More intensive functions take around 25-30 seconds or more. This is a 'New Topic' search that returned just 4 results in 24 seconds.

Editing a post appears to break the formatting, specifically carriage returns. Furthermore it appears once broken re-editing is ineffective. I can't for example replace the carriage returns between the text and image above which were lost when I corrected a typo.

In addition there are four attachments visible in the editor but only two in the final post. There are still a lot of bugs in vBulletin 5.

I have to say I'm finding the support forums a bit sluggish at the moment, and I'm not on Windows 10.

From the screenshots, it seems there could have been a change to the search engine. Maybe Sphinx was moved or something. I'll ask the devs to look into it. Strange that it doesn't affect everyone though.

It appears that the issue is caused by a search query and a recent upgrade to MySQL 5.6. We've created a ticket with the DBA to get additional advice on optimizing the query.

It seems that a number of queries that used to run fine are now running really slow.
It appears that this is due to the MySQL optimizer not picking the best indexes when running them.

I am currently looking into it as its affecting the vb.com site, the "finger of blame" is currently pointing at MySQL, this seemed to start after we upgraded from 5.5 to 5.6.

If I had to name 3 things that take an extraordinarily long loading time, it would be a) logging in, b) going to the home page and c) creating a new topic. I don't know if that is of any help...
