No offense, but for a company that hosts forums for a living your server and cache setting is wonky as hell. However - that somehow fits the software...

No offense, but as usual you jump to conclusions without any facts on which to base your attack.

The actually issue is that something is/was flooding the server with requests, causing MySQL to run out of connections.

Getting "There is a serious error and the page cannot be rendered" (.com) and "The site is not available. Please try later" (.org) on an on and off basis all morning.
