    Is the site getting slower?

Note sure if anyone else feels the same but is the site getting slower? Not only the site but basic features like trying to create this post. I had to wait a few seconds before it would let me place my cursor in the subject heading and start typing, that's after waiting for the page to load.

Come on vB, if you're going to use this software on your production site, you really need to fix the basic things and quick!!

I am seeing faster speeds currently... 5 second page loads on the front page (2 seconds to onLoad event). This page loaded quickly with 981 ms to onLoad.

What kind of speeds are you seeing in your browser's waterfall maps?

I'm seeing 10-11 seconds on the main forum page - this page did load within 5 seconds via the email link.

        Firefox 20.0 OSX 10.8.3

When I created this thread, after waiting for the page to load (10-11 seconds) it took another 2-3 seconds for the cursor to show up after clicking in the subject box to create post.

I want to say I was seeing about 4-5 seconds before (early this am or late last night) and I thought that was slow. Have not created a post in a while so I can't compare that part.

We're now running on 5.0.1, things seem better.

It may have gone from very slow to just slow... unfortunately still leagues behind the any reasonable expectation, though...

I'm still loading the main forum page very slow, but the secondary forums seem a bit faster but like Dennis said still slow - at least a step in the right direction.

9.56 seconds on the main forum page. Subsequent page loads have been around 20-30 seconds for the forum though.

this thread took 9.76 seconds to load.

Other threads are averaging around 8-14 seconds also.

I find the loading speed of this site varies to such a degree it's hard to say if 5.0.1 is faster or not. The only thing I can say for certain is that it's nowhere near the speed it needs to be, far from it in fact.

There is an issue that our NOC and DBA teams are looking at unrelated to vB5
                          Vote for:

                          - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
                          - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)
