    This site needs something

Why is this site so slow? I guess this new VB5 is slower than anticipated. I will stick to my 3.85s that are so quick and easy to work with.

It depends on the server, not the software.

Yep... I assume vBSI downgraded all their servers at the same time they upgraded to vB5.

If I remember correctly, performance is actually better than the first vB 4 install which was made on the official forum. Having said that, there is obviously a lot that needs to be done, but then again it isn't yet a gold release.

Performance wise, vb5 has improved a whole lot already! Upcoming changes in the code will grant an even better performance. Don't get me wrong, but optimizing forums and code isnt done within a few patches. Lets have faith in the dev-team. The difference between the first beta patch and the current 28 patch is enormous!

The speed issues are known and are being worked on as a priority.

It certainly needs something. It needs the articles back.

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...

so, the developers stuck a waypoints jquery on vb3, gave it a worse skin, and called it vb5?

Completely diappointed with this offering, beta or not. Everyone who worked on this should be ashamed of themselves. All the resources and money available, and THIS is what comes out?

Yup... looks like i will continue to run vb 3.8.x ....

With speed being a known issue, it makes not being able to get to "what's new" from a thread and not being able to go directly to the last post of a thread, missed even more.

I guess I use a forum differently than most others, those two buttons are my primary buttons I click on.
