Deleted spamposts in "what's New?" --> New Group Messages still visible

Thought I play around with the what's new settings here on vb.com and stumbled over 16 spam posts when clicking at "New Group Messages", all messages are showing from 8th April, the user was banned and the messages deleted, but why are they still listed there as new?
A bug?

That happens with forum posts too. Since you never viewed them and you do have permission to view those groups, they are still 'new'.

Steve, I mean deleted posts or in this case deleted group messages. Isn't this more a caching issue? As far as I know if a thread/post was deleted it doesn't show anymore as new?

Yes, I know what you meant. As I said this happens with forum posts too. I see this every day in fact.

Are you the owner of the group? Then you would see the deleted posts.
