      Meghan,

I did test this before i posted the Jira report, as BB OS 6 contains a WebKit browser, however the percentage of BlackBerry devices out there with OS6 is going to be very small compared to the original non WebKit based browser.

I'm not saying OS5 should be ignored, I just wanted to be sure that the problem has been narrowed down to the browser and not some other factor.

        Thanks for your feedback, everyone!

The funny thing is I am sure I used my BB on this site before as I have it bookmarked so I don't think I would have bookmarked it if it did not work

When they upgraded the site to 4.1.2 a while ago this added the mobile style which doesn't work with the 'Blackberry Browser'

With Vb going to 4.1.2 public release WILL this issue ever be fixed, there must be thousands of BB's that are not on OS6 yet, shabby from vb if you ask me.

Once again VB have ignored the user

              NIL Point

I just uninstalled dartho's style for the new vb mobile skin.
Yeah personally vb's style is more fancy (better).
But i prefer dartho's navigation style, very simple no ajax loading / jquery / etc.

i am actually pondering if i can use Darthos style for use when the vB detection detects an 'older mobile browser'

I was hoping to have the following -

                        Desktop Browser - Full Site
Modern Mobile Browser (WebKit) - vB Mobile Style
Older Mobile Browser (Non WebKit) - Dartho Mobile Style

OS5 - Blank, white screen when viewing/using the skin. The only way to view the mobile skin on a Blackberry is by using Opera. Let's face it, how many regular Joe members are going to install a third-party browser just to view the skin :/

I don't know if you've realised, but the mobile style was designed specifically to work with Webkit-based browsers. Android's Chrome variant browser supports this, iOS's Safari browser supports this, but only RIM OS6 or above uses a webkit-friendly browser. No matter how hard you try, the mobile style won't run on the stock Blackberry browser for OS5 or earlier devices.
