He's selling skins. So yes, I would think it's a necessity for him to know how to skin. If he doesn't then that's a testament to not using his services. Simple as that, really.
And yes, IB know how to make software. It's the processes used to make that software that's the problem with most people.Comment

Just as I do know how to bake a cake. It's really very simple.
All needed are:flour, eggs, water, sugar > oven preheated to 160 degrees Celsius.
Keep those above in that oven for 30 minutes.
After 15 minutes my cake seems eatable.
I take it off and with a good appetite eat it.
I don't understand why my guests don't like it.

A person does not have to know how to skin to run a skinning business. They do need to understand business and manage employees and/or contractors that do the design and coding work. The linked topic on vB.org indicates he/she is trying to do just that. I'm not judging the quality of the product or the ability of the business person. But I don't know a business that requires the business owner to know how to manufacture or create the products they sell.

Business is business, no matter what size the company. I responded to the false assumption that a business person must know how to design and code the skins they sell. And apparently the fact that the vendor in question is seeking an employee or contractor to update the skins he/she sells confirms this.If my post was helpful to you, please take the time to register at my forum and ask a question you've always wanted to know about floors.
