Understood Adrian. But that begs the question, is Bob superfluous?

I mean from HKs point of view. I am quite aware that Bob thinks he serves a purpose and is doing a good job.

A CEO is there to run the company... having a change as to who owns the company doesn't change that requirement.

What does change is the shareholders (kind of obvious) as well as the board of directors that are there to represent them.

        Should have been more articulate.

I mean is Bob the right CEO for the job, now that it has gotten to the point it has? From a HK view point (obviously a rhetorical question).

He seems well suited to buy existing forums, change the leadership on them, and put up advertising, and (in general) the forums languish. Then more forums are bought. Repeat.

Not sure how long that can continue.

To the best of my knowledge there are no leadership changes planned.

Well Adrian a company that takes over a big company does not expect to make cash in a few weeks time so there should be less pressure then before to rush things true. Has for staff if i'm correct that they are not want to cash in straight away you get a breather to fix even more.

With all due respect, Adrian, how can you claim that? I don't think you were within the high ranks of INET nor have the necessary close contact to HF to know what impact the change in shareholder structure and of the board will have on vBulletin or anything related to INET for that matter.

I think what Adrian means is than in the mean time. It also seems unlikely, from his Point of View, that there will be changes.

I read the announcement on another forum. I thought wth but now I am curious about what will change and what will stay the same.
Great to hear that the leadership group is going to stay the same.

My guess would be that until the dust settles, little will be known. That said, considering that this is a company that creates and distributes product used to quickly share information on the internet, it would behoove management to come forward and release some sort of statement. There is nothing worse than silence while rumors and speculation simmer in the populace.

Yeah, and IB's investment into Jelsoft got James Limm to post an announcement back then saying the same as you.

the best vBulletin customers can hope for is that vBulletin as an asset is sold off to a company that can do something about the reputation.

                          Would tend to agree.

From my perspective, I'd like to see Adrian and Fabian remain as progress is actually being made.

Nothing will change for a while but you can bet things will change in the medium term. Hopefully Adrian and Fabian will still be in charge after that, I do think they are setting vB back on the right path and I'm actually looking forward to seeing 4.1, whereas I was dreading 4.0. That in itself has to be significant progress!
