Why everybody think that jelsoft/ib and other companies with internet products should share all there news with us?
I never got a Mail/Announcement from Sony that they have a new member in there supportteam or that ms have some new coders....

Jelsoft are much smaller than Sony / MS / Supermarket, and they probably have a much lower turn over of staff. It wouldn't take much time to briefly make a post, especially if it's one of the longer serving members of staff. It would make a nice 'feel good' factor and wouldn't hurt them.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear you've left, Floris.

Although I understand that most companies will keep quiet about staff changes, I personally like to know what's going on. Jelsoft is a rather tight-knit community (for those of us who frequent this site) and it's nice to know what's going on with the big guys. Although, I'm a very nosy person - so I may be the odd one out, here.

It would be nice if all the staff were listed on the Show Groups. Like a few of the members posted in this thread, there are new staff members and unless you are online at the same time as the new staff you really would not know about them. It would be nice to at least have that.

No one's saying they have a right. They're saying it would be nice, vBulletin is all about creating communities and enhancing communication. It would be nice to be able to properly say goodbye to some of the longer serving members of staff.

I don't feel I should have the right to know, it is mostly just wishful thinking, but if they don't want too then they don't have too.

I don't think we 'need' to know who is hired/fired/leaves (it would be nice to know tho) but we do need it made clear via user titles who is and isn't an official representative of vB. At the mo it still says Floris is a vBulletin Forum Moderator (rollover his usertitle in his profile).

I think the titles should be very clear of what's what.
