Contacting staff members via PM?

I'm trying to send Wayne Luke a private message but keep getting the following message:

Wayne Luke has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.

If you are trying to send this message to multiple recipients, remove Wayne Luke from the recipient list and send the message again.

What should my next step be here?

There should be no need to PM staff members.
If you want to contact them privately then open a support ticket.

I think the staff are entitled to there privacy, which is why they don't allow everybody to PM Them.

Yeah I understand that but this is actually related to a private matter that I was told to take private with staff via PMs.

As Colin mentioned, you can always contact the staff via a support ticket.
