    Merging threads

    Hey,

I think vBulletin staff should merge similar suggestions together more often because the suggestion forum is getting filled with similar suggestions and it just gets annoying. I am sure it would help the developers and other staff find good suggestions that are worth implementing faster as well.

    For example:
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=186575 & http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=236114 & http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=236486 are exactly the same, why not merge them?

http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=234079 & http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=236002 are exactly the same as well, why not merge those?

Thats just on the first page. Surely if I went on and on I would find hundreds if not thousands that can be merged. Obviously the ones with lists shouldn't be merged so that the lists are always the first post to help developers .

    Thanks
    MAD

I've been thinking about it for the last few days and both ways have their pros and cons. Haven't decided which way to go.

I would rather the creator of those types of thread to post all suggestion in list form on first post, as it is time consumming to figure out if a sugguestion was already requested. I hate doing a search and for something that may or may not of been added, as posters may called for e.g. apple as a orange and orange as a apple when they are referring to same function.

Its best not to merge discussions, but to lock them and redirect the thread starter to the correct topic.

They are not discussions, they are suggestions.

                      Why make it so hard?
