odd issue when sending private messages

    Hello

there's an odd issue when receiving mails from subscribed threads.

    Here's what I do

I subscribe to a thread, someone posts something, I receive a mail with a link to the new post, I follow that link, then try to send a private message to some of the users in that thread.

    And then this (attachment) appear.

I'm able to repeat this and the same happen, it thinks the PM to be a reply to a thread :S

If I go to the parent forum, and click the thread, then try to sent the PM, then it works correctly

I hope someone can understand what I'm trying to say

Sorry I don't understand. You try to send a PM, then you get a page with the appropriate info to send a PM. What's the issue?

the issue here, is that whenever I try to send a private message following a subscription link.

Vbulletin thinks I'm trying to reply to the post, instead of sending a private message.

Check the image, you can see in the title "private message" but the buttons below says, quick reply and go advanvced, as if I were replying to a post.

And it just happens here at vbulletin.com

I just tried this on these forums and can't duplicate this at all. I did the exact same thing and went to the standard PM screen.

Can't reproduce for me too with Fx2 on XP.

The bug is the 'Recipient Usernames' is empty when you follow the pm send link in a subscribed thread (when you come in the thread by link in the email notification).

I use Safari (latest version - 2.0.4) on Mac OS X 10.4.9, and I have never had this problem. Additionally, I am unable to reproduce this, and it works just fine for me.

                that's really strange

I swear I could duplicate this.

                I'll try to record it
