    Developers

    Hey,
Before the developers used to give us hints and read/reply to threads in the suggestions forum.

    What happened to all that?

Its quite hard to keep suggestions in sight as so many are post and replied to that other ones are bumped down even though they could be very good suggestions for many forums owners that do not check the vbulletin forum suggestions forum.

    Thanks
    MAD

Right! I also get all my suggetions neglected although I'm 100% persuaded that some of them are such a nessicity.

Also some of my suggestions look like bug reports. However, I think no one's intersted.

The devs do read the suggestion forum, when it is time to read it. It is impossible for them to reply to all threads. You're not neglected.

What do you mean "when it is time to read it"? And also, do they read all suggestions or only some?

"when it is time to read it", I think this means they do it weekly--At least they don't check them randomly.

As Scott has told me before about bugs tracing-per PM, "We do weekly triage usually at the end of a week and none of us work weekends." So, this is certainly the same system used to track suggestions.

Ah cool. As long as they consider each suggestion, I dont mind when they check it .

And I like Scott, hes a great developer to talk to as he explains stuff others wont .

We've been working on some internal projects for a while which included setting up a staff Wiki, migrating to SVN and some various tweaks around the site and our internal systems.

At the moment we're not in the process of adding new features to vBulletin itself so we're not replying to the threads as much as we use to. When its time you'll see us bumping all those old threads or more replies from us in the forum

That's just internal things for staff to do a better job.

SVN = Subversion which is a revision control system to replace CVS
Wiki = Documentation type thing which any staff member can edit.
