Search results are limited to 300 on these forums for performance reasons.

That's a standard feature of vbulletin, even on a fresh install I'm sure a default limit of 500 is set.

It is limited by default, but doesn't mean the feature is limited. With a small tweak you can up this value to 100,000 if you need that for your own forum.

To keep performance high a reasonable number has been picked. Surely someone doesn't read all 100,000 posts by steve, and should get a pretty good impression when browsing through 300 of them. If someone is looking for a specific thread or post that would still be possible. Search is not limited.

You can also set the date range when searching.

He's been here for maybe 6 years now, I would probably have only 60 thousand, but still, lol maybe a fast poster?

Steve retires at 100,000, so you guys better stop asking questions.
