I think the style is good for the masses, it's clean and uses good colours. But after a long time viewing the default vbulletin style myself, I personally find it it bit bright on my eyes and it hurts them after long viewing. So I gave it a 4 simply because I would like to see the overall brightness toned down a little.

I gave it a 4. I believe it can be improved on content-wise in some areas, but overall, it's good enough to get the point across.

                  I think it looks fine.

It is hard for me to be impartial on it since I look at the style so much I can longer appreciate what it looks like to an outsider, which is what's important.

Yeah I agree, when you first see a site, thats the important moment, it makes you decide wheather you keep the site loaded or simply hit the back button and go to another site.

As much as I love vBulletin, I think the homepage could be improved.

There is a lot of wasted space and it's not very tidy.

Although it's very user friendly, it's not very eye grabbing and it doesn't give me the WOW impression.

Compare it to that of the main competitor. Theirs looks a lot tidier and much more professional. I guess that's due to the fact that it has more graphics and a nice blend of colours. vBulletin's site doesn't have that, and looks rather bland in comparison.

Of course, that's only my opinion.

                      Just my 2 pennies.

I agree, more graphics other than small outdated screenshots .
