I agree we've seen 2.0 in development so why not 2.1?

Actually, you didn't get to see 2.0 in development until relatively late in the process.

I think we're going to keep the beta site locked for a while yet, so we can work in peace for a little while

I believe they've said they won't release the 2.1 to do list, however if you look in the Suggestions forum you will find a thread that Kier has responded to with what will be in 2.1 of those suggested.
