IMG code

Hi,

one of my friends is trying to post an image no the board from his account at photobucket.com

so he puts the the image between the IMG code, but it's not working, and i think it's because his account name at photobucket.com is *slander

so when he posts the image it goes like
[img]htt:blabla.com/*slander/photoname.com[/img]

so what i want to know is, is the star * the reason why the img code is not working ?

and is there a way to let it work ?
