Restrict entry viewing to Contacts and Blog Moderators not working.

I've created several private blog entries (by checking the Restrict entry viewing to Contacts and Blog Moderators) but unregistered users can view all blog entries including prive blog entries.

According to the documentation:

"The Restrict entry viewing to Contacts and Blog Moderators option will restrict the viewing of an entry to just those members on your contact list and to Blog moderators. This allows you to leave your blog open to all members but still have the ability to restrict viewing on an entry to entry basis."

How can I restrict a blog entry from being seen from users other than my "Contacts and Blog Moderators"?

When you create or edit a blog entry in the Advanced Editor make sure to check the box labeled 'Restrict entry viewing to Contacts and Blog Moderators [?]'

Each of the entries have that box checked.

I get a no permissions screen as a guest when I try to view a blog entry. All I can see is the blog overview page. If you don't want guests to see that you should change your permissions settings in your Blog Control Panel under Blog Options. Uncheck "Guests may view your blog.

When I log out and goto it, I can see all the blog posts public and private. I shouldn't be able to see the private.

That is the URL to the actual entry. You have it set to guests can see your blog over view page.

Ok. So when a blog entry has "Restrict entry viewing to Contacts and Blog Moderators" selected and the blogger (myself in this case) in the Blog Control Panel has "Guests may view your blog" checked, then guests can view all blogs whether private or not.
Blogs can then never be really be private then.

It would be great if the guests can see the blog overview page minus the private blogs.
As a work around I'm going to have to create a user that will only be a "private blogger".

Not very private then is it? Especially when the overview contains a good portion (sometimes all) of the blog. We have private blogs that shorter than preview length that aren't private at all.

Has this been fixed?

Will it be fixed in 4?
