Blog comments not visible to guests

Comments posted on a blog by another registered user are not visible to guests. They are only visible to registered users. Any clues on this?
The other registered user has "guests may view your blog" enabled.

    No Comments I see.
    Sure is happening.
    User1 posted blog.
    User2 (me) posted comment
    User3 posted comment

All are visible when I am logged on.

Log off, and look at the blog as a guest and User1 and user2 are visible, user3 not.
I tried to make mine not visible by changing options but it does not seem to be possible.

What is different with user3's comments?

If the permissions are set correctly then this has to be form an add-on.

To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

[Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

        Next, disable all plugins.

Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

        define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it.

Do you have the same problem?

Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

There were no 'File does not contain expected contents'

When I did this the "blogs" menu disappeared totally.

If you have no third-party add-ons, then fill out a support ticket at:

Please include a complete description of the problem and be sure to include the login info to your Admin CP, phpMyAdmin and FTP in the 'Sensitive Data' field.

If you do have third-party add-ons you will need to remove or disable them first.
