Unless I don't know the complete settings (featured entries, settings of the blog owner etc.) it's not possible for me to give any reasonable advice not to mention that it's even a bug. Sorry. Perhaps Freddie has an idea.

Are you saying that the HTML of the entries is different? HTML from one version of the blog and the HTML from another version of the blog?
Am I seeing the output of a blog listing as the output for your featured entry? Have you reverted all of your templates after the upgrade?Comment

When you see the latest entries, are you seeing just the entries of a specific user or a combined view of every user's entries? If you try this on an uncustomized style without any additional javascript being added, I don't think you will be able to duplicate it.Comment

There are other elements on your page. I see no way for this to be happening other than those elements being involved.
As I said, again, try your blog on an unmodified style, this means the header, headinclude, footer templates, all unmodified.Comment

i see the latest entires in the main blog page...
