Blog Categories or Titles not displaying

Good afternoon everyone,

I just wanted to mention that on the Beta 2 of the new blogging software that my category names are there but not showing in the list.

Also in the Blog categories in the Admin CP...the titles are not showing either.


Any idea?

If you edit a category does it show, ont that edit screen?

I tried to edit the categories but no luck. When you create a blog, the categories are there to choose from but they just won't display correctly in the attachments above.

I am having the same problem. The categories are not showing up they get created but they are blank. Editing does not change it.

You mean setting a specific name/title, etc? Doesn't update it on the manager page?

I followed the instructions that were provided by

I've fixed my installation with this query:

INSERT INTO phrasetype (fieldname, title, editrows, product, special) VALUES ('vbblogcat', 'vBulletin Blog Admin Categories', '3', 'vbblog', '0');

After that, regenerate your languages on your forum and check if your categories names are back

The way to regenerate your languages is to select "Language Manager" under the AdminCP and select "Rebuild All Languages"

Same problem here with the beta 4 but I don't see the categories anymore.
Try to do the things as wrote but without any result

Did you add the query:

INSERT INTO phrasetype (fieldname, title, editrows, product, special) VALUES ('vbblogcat', 'vBulletin Blog Admin Categories', '3', 'vbblog', '0');


THEN regenerate your language?


It worked for me.

In looking for an answer I have tried this 5 times and it is not working. Should I try reinstalling.
