Comments not submitting

whenever I try to submit comments on my blog it hangs... the only way to get it to submit new comments is to "Go Advanced" and then to submit from there...

is anyone else having this issue? and if this is a known issue is there some sort of fix for it?

Do you have any issues with any other ajax features on your site?

at times I have had posts seem to hang like that before in the quick reply box. and my solution has been to click the go advanced button.

but that is an intermittant issue that I have always guessed had to do with my server.

this is not intermittant... this happens each and every time I try to post a comment. to anyone's blog including my own.

oh and for more info in case it helps it happens on both IE and FF browsers

I suggest that you submit a support ticket if this continues to happen on an unmodified forum.

I was hoping that it was happening to other users, because I do have a couple of mod's installed on my board. nothing that interacts with the blog system though.

when I run a style version that doesnt incorporate any of my mods and it still happens.

so to double check that this is not a mod that is causing this problem. I would like to confirm. it is ok for me to install the blog system on a test board that is installed according to the liscense agreement under a testvb directory?

my test board is still completely unmodified so it would be a good opportunity to see if it is the mod's on my board causing this problem

after I have verified that this is not an issue with a modification on my board, I will be glad to submit a ticket

I actually found a fix to this... strangely enough there was a thing on the server called mod_security or somethinerother...

anyway take a look at this thread

this solved both my problems with posting quick replies in the blog as well as being able to post percent signs in my forum...

in fact it fixed pretty much most of the issues I was having with my forum.

I have the same problem, but I can't reproduce it because it doesn't happen everytime. Sometimes I submit a comment, it gets inserted and the page updated via AJAX, and at another time it just stays at "loading".

I have tried reproducing the problem, with no success, I'm guessing the load of my server might be a factor.

The comment always gets submitted, just the user doesn't get a confirmation
