Problems starting setup

I am attempting to get a demo board up & running. If I run the config.php script (http://localhost/vblite/admin/config.php) then all I get is Nothing.

If I run the Install script (same URL with install), I get the following error messages. Am I doing something fundamentally wrong? (Using XP Pro.) Thanks!

Warning: Undefined variable: step in C:\vblite\admin\install.php on line 14

You don't run the config.php script. You need to edit it to add the variables for your server and database. The install won't run without the proper setup in config.php.

Many thanks for the fast answer!

Actually I had set up these parameters. But it looks like the warnings are 'normal'. I changed the error setting in PHP.ini and they don't show up. All seems to work fine now.

I wish the demo was as nice looking and as featured as this site though, I'm trying to sell this internally!

Yeah, I understand. However the purpose of vB Lite is to ensure that vB will work on your server. It wasn't really intended to be a functional demo of the full program.
