      lakings,

Which version are you trying to install?

I hear you, would be nice to have them post those install help pages on the vb site, I was going to try the lite version and then buy the full one if it worked on my personal company server. But seeing that there is no real install help I guess I will have to try something else if I can not figure it out myself.:(

Is there any way that I could get vbulletin running on my PC running Windows ME w/o uploading it to a server? Does anyone know of any free web hosts that support mysql and php?

          Thanks,

          Dave

I can't see your site either

I have tried following the links and I can't find your site. This is a shame because I am having problems getting VbulletinLite to work.

Are there any other similar resources about?

                Alan

                  Cheers and all that

                    Hi all,

After busting my brains and getting all frustrated trying to install Vbulletin Lite, I decided to give PHPBB2 a try.

Installing on Windows 2000 with IIS was a breeze. Easy as hell! My only regret is not trying it earlier. I would have saved plenty of time.

So, for those of you who have trouble installing Vbulletin, my suggestion to you is to give PHPBB2 a try.

phpbb is far from something like vBulletin(I have experience as moderator, and administrator at a forum with both types(phpBB and vB that is)).

Still. That tutorial sounds like it contained alot of easytounderstand stuff, but now its gone.

Understandable that you don't have much time for this part of the forum anyways.
