Image resizing in vb_editor

Every now and then someone posts a link to an image that is too large and if I go in to edit it in the vb editor there is seemingly the ability to re size the image as I can see drag and drop resize points. I also see the width/height dimensions changing yet, when I save the edited post, the image just snaps back to normal size.

Is there a reason why this image resizing does not add image dimensions to the image? If I look at the source there is no W or H attributes on the img tag itself.

I think that resizing only works if you allow HTML posting, or maybe not at all. Other customers have brought this up before. I don't remember why the editor lets you resize images even though it doesn't save. I seem to remember there is a reason for it (maybe a browser behavior).

Anyways... that is the normal behavior. The resizing option is in the editor but it doesn't work.

Can this be submitted as an official bug then? This is clearly a bug.
